Are your ingredients organic?

• Yes.
• Our Signature Natural Jelly is formulated with certified organic ingredients sourced from certified organic suppliers.

Is your Signature Natural Jelly USDA Organic Certified?

• No. But our ingredients are.
• Our Signature Natural Jelly is made with certified organic ingredients sourced from certified organic suppliers.
• However, St. Claire Naturals as a product itself has not obtained USDA Organic certification yet for the finished product and therefore does not use the USDA Organic seal.

Why doesn't St. Claire Naturals use the USDA Organic seal?

• The USDA Organic seal is reserved for products and manufacturing operations that have completed USDA Organic certification.
• Although our Signature Natural Jelly is formulated with certified organic ingredients, the finished product itself has not been USDA certified yet, so we do not use the USDA Organic seal.

How do you verify your ingredients are certified organic?

• We purchase our ingredients from certified organic suppliers and maintain documentation from our suppliers verifying the certification status of the ingredients we purchase.

Is castor oil safe? I heard castor beans are poisonous.

• Yes.Raw castor beans naturally contain ricin, a toxic protein.
• However, ricin is not present in properly processed cosmetic-grade castor oil.
• During the manufacturing process, the ricin remains in the solid seed material and is removed from the finished oil.
• The castor oil we use is cosmetic grade and intended for personal care products.

What is Hexane?

• Not all oils are created equal, especially castor oil and sunflower oil.
• Some oils on the market are extracted using n-hexane, a petroleum-derived solvent, while others are cold-pressed without chemical solvents. Studies have shown that high or prolonged exposure to n-hexane has been associated with nerve and neurological damage.
• At St. Claire Naturals, we use only cold-pressed, hexane-free oils. Cold pressing avoids solvent extraction and helps preserve the oil's naturally occurring beneficial properties.
• We believe the quality of an oil depends not only on the plant it comes from, but also on how it is extracted.
• Our commitment to cold-pressed, hexane-free oils is one of the many ways we strive to create premium, plant-based products our customers can trust.

Why do you use cold-pressed oils?

• Cold-pressed oils are extracted without the use of high heat, helping preserve their naturally occurring fatty acids, antioxidants, and beneficial plant compounds.

Why are your products considered "Natural"?

• At St. Claire Naturals, the term "Natural" reflects our formulation philosophy. It means we formulate our products with thoughtfully selected plant-based and naturally derived ingredients while intentionally avoiding petroleum-based ingredients and other ingredients that do not align with our standards.

Are your products petroleum-free?

Yes.

• All St. Claire Naturals products are 100% petroleum-free. We do not use petroleum jelly or mineral oil in our formulations.

Are your products tested on animals?No.

• St. Claire Naturals does not test our products on animals and is Leaping Bunny certified. 

Why do your products cost more than some other brands?

• We formulate our products using premium plant-based ingredients, including certified organic oils and butters where appropriate.
• We focus on ingredient quality rather than inexpensive fillers like petroleum jelly and mineral oil.

Where are your products made?

• Every St. Claire Naturals product is proudly made in Harlem, New York, USA

Do your products contain synthetic fragrances?

• No.
• We do not use added synthetic fragrances. When a product is scented, we use natural essential oils, natural or plant-based flavored oils, or naturally derived aromatic ingredients appropriate for that formulation.
